When did you start working here? I started working at WCPO on October 14, 2013 - Columbus Day.

Where else have you worked? I worked 36 years as a reporter and database editor at The Indianapolis Star.

Where did you go to college? I graduated from Butler University, Indianapolis, in 1980.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your work? I pride myself in being able to make data sources relevant to people - our online audience, and my fellow reporters.

What are you most proud of in your own life? I'm most proud of my family - my wife, two daughters, their spouses, and two granddaughters. I'm proud of what they've already accomplished in life, but I'm also proud of their values and their future goals.

What do you love about living in the Tri-State? I love the natural beauty of the area. There aren't a lot of hills and valleys in central Indiana, where I have lived most of my life!

What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions? At this point, the area malls have been the big "hang" spot for me...and there are plenty of them here!

All-time favorites (movies, books, music, shows, etc...): My daily read - the Bible. My all-time favorite movies are an eclectic mix: "The Wizard of Oz," "Rain Man" and "Remember the Titans." I love traditional and smooth jazz, gospel music and "old school" R&B.

Other than 9 On Your Side & WCPO.com, you get your news from: Here are a few: The New York Times, The Indianapolis Star/indystar.com, Time, Newsweek, Twitter and Facebook.

Apps you can't live without? I'm not sure I have any apps that I can't live without. I do have a few that are one more "freeze up" away from being deleted!
