When did you start working here? January 2012
What other positions have you held here? Previously, I was the digital marketing producer in the Creative Services department.
Where else have you worked? I was a social media consultant for the E.W. Scripps Company.
Where did you go to college? I am a 2011 graduate of Ohio University (go, Bobcats!) with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism (Advertising Management) and a Bachelor of Arts (Women's and Gender Studies).
What are you most proud of when it comes to your work? When my social media and community-related stories get shares and re-Tweets, I get so excited! I'm passionate about the pieces I write for WCPO.com, and it's very validating to see the Tri-State getting excited about them too.
What are you most proud of in your own life? I'm extremely proud of my academic achievements. I was named the 2011 Outstanding Senior in the Advertising Management program by the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and earned two bachelor's degrees in four years. I'm also extremely proud of my fitness efforts: I recently completed the Redlegs Run 10k in my record time!
What do you love about living in the Tri-State? I can't remember the last time I said "I'm bored;" there's way too much to do here! From arts and entertainment to sports to nightlife to neighborhoods to parks and recreation, I've never felt like I was lacking in activities.
What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions? I love hanging out in Hyde Park, Mt. Lookout and Oakley Squares and checking out the nightlife at The Banks and Over-the-Rhine. I also love the parks around here: Ault Park is my favorite. Plus, at least once a week, you can catch me cheering on the Reds at GABP.
All-time favorites? I'll admit it: I'm a huge cheesehead (go, Packers)! I'm a nerd at heart, so I love Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Star Wars. Also a big fan of Friends, any and all music (seriously, I have everything from Bach to Bieber on my iTunes), documentaries, Netflix in general, historical nonfiction, 19th Century British literature and all three seasons of Blue Mountain State.
Other than 9 On Your Side & WCPO.com, you get your news from: CNN, FOX, AP, Women's Health, Shape, Mashable and BuzzFeed.
Apps you can't live without? Instagram, FratMusic and the 9 First Warning Weather app (I check it at least 2-3 times a day).
