When did you start working here? July 2012

Where else have you worked? I worked at WTRF-TV in the Wheeling, West Virginia/Steubenville, Ohio market for three years. WTRF is the ABC, CBS and FOX station in the market. (Yes, all three networks!)  When I was hired I produced the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts. I was then promoted to reporter. Before I left, I was the Noon anchor/producer, and I also reported. I gained valuable experience shooting and editing my own stories and working extensively with social media and the web.

I was also a journalist for the website Examiner.com. I wrote about different news happenings that occurred in and around the Pittsburgh area.

Where did you go to college? Penn State University. I majored in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Health Policy and Administration.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your work? I'm most proud of telling stories that matter to the community and make a difference in people's lives.

What are you most proud of in your own life? I'm proud of my figure skating skills. I started skating in 1st grade and continued through college.  I can do some jumps and spins and some fancy moves.

What do you love about living in the Tri-State? There are a lot of things to do. There is also a great selection of restaurants to choose from. I love going out to eat.

What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions? Mount Adams, Mainstrasse, Newport on the Levee

All time favorites? I love watching House Hunters on HGTV.  I pretty much love watching anything on HGTV.  I also enjoy the Travel Channel, Animal Planet, the Discovery Channel and the Food Network.

Other than 9 On Your Side & WCPO.com, you get your news from: CNN.com and Foxnews.com. I also watch CNN and Fox News on TV. I listen to 700 WLW and read the paper online.

Apps you can't live without? Facebook, the WCPO app and Twitter.

Tell us more! I have a passion for travel, animals, health and medical news, breaking news and severe weather. I also enjoy learning about social media trends. I am addicted to HGTV (which I already mentioned), coffee, exercising and the outdoors.
